England - June 2005

April: After a long and restless flight over the Atlantic, we finally made it to London! We struggled to find our hotel, but once we arrived, we slept for 5 hours. We saw Prince Charles and Camilla driving from Buckingham Palace on a quiet side road that we happened to be walking on. We also ventured through Hyde Park (Where preparations for the Live 8 concert were underway) and St. James Park to #10 Downing Street. The next day, I walked to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The House of Parliament, and the River Thames. We quickly learned that if you have worked up an appetite…DO NOT EAT ENGLISH FOOD!!! It is horrible! We recommend eating Indian Cuisine while in England.
