The Netherlands - July 2005

April: After spending a few days in the crazy and shocking city of Amsterdam, we were ready for the coast. So, we decided to take a ferry to the Island of Texel, The Netherlands. Once on the island, we located a huge campground on the beach. It turned out to be windy and rainy most of the time we were there. At night you could here the rain pounding on our tent, which was slightly discouraging. We were able to catch a bus to an old lighthouse on the other side of the island, and walked around a bit in the sand, but with the weather being so unfriendly, we spent most of our time drinking café crèmes and reading.
